Tuckey was a winner of the Mens' Doubles at Wimbledon in 1936, playing with Pat Hughes (when they defeated Charles Hare and Frank Wilde in five sets), and twice a member of the winning GB Davis Cup Team (in 1935 and 1936) - but he also played Mixed Doubles with his mother in 1931 and 1932, as well as winning titles in the British Hard Court Championships
